Life is about discovery and sharing. I may have taught myself a lot of what I know in shaping and glassing, but it didn’t just pop into my head out of thin air, well some of it did, but a lot of what I know came from awesome websites, YouTube videos, Instagram accounts and just talking with people in the industry whenever I could. Without these kind souls learning this sacred craft would have certainly been more of a challenge.

In keeping with that sharing spirit I wanted to build this page, where future superstar shapers, hobbyists, dreamers, and just the curious surfers could come and easily find the same information I did. From links to other websites that have amazing info, youtube videos I watched over and over again, books, and Instagram accounts, my own template designs, and websites where you can download others. There’s amazing software that will help you make templates or the classic techniques of copying a board you have laying around.

BOOKS

There is something about a book that can not be beaten. The sound of the pages, the smell of the paper, the weight in your hands. Flipping through and seeing the notes and highlighter marks of the knowledge that someone wants to remember.

These have been the books that have shared a wealth of knowledge with me from the first time I picked up the electric planer to this very day.
